Will unused (abandoned) homes be mandatorily re-introduced as housing supply in Victoria, in the year ending 30 June 2027?
The National Housing Supply and Affordability Council has twice recommended to Government that it use its public powers (including compulsory acquisition) to assemble land parcels that appeal to developer interests.
Resolution criteria
Resolves YES if the Victorian government announces a mandatory acquisition of unused homes.
