Land assembly

Planning changes can alter what is possible on a street before residents have had a fair chance to understand the options. This project explores whether willing neighbours can organise on their own terms: identifying where adjacent homes may have more potential together than apart, privately registering interest, understanding planning constraints, and deciding whether to stay, sell, redevelop or negotiate collectively before developers, agents or speculators approach them one by one, or seek to exercise influence over public agencies to use their powers (including compulsory acquisition) to assemble development parcels of land.
